About Me
I'm Jarett, a Biomedical Engineering Diploma graduate from Ngee Ann Polytechnic, now pursuing a Bachelor's in Engineering Systems and Design at SUTD. My journey has taken me from hospital biomedical labs to army leadership, and more recently into discovering a curiosity for finance through live market research and client strategy, each chapter sharpening a different dimension of who I am as a professional. I'm now drawn to data analytics, being captivated by how numbers can tell stories, drive strategy, and create impact in business and finance.
Beyond academics, I serve as Director of Business Development at SUTD MarketWatch, where I grow partnerships and shape the club's strategic direction. I'm drawn to problems that sit at the crossroads of systems thinking and human experience, where engineering rigour meets design sensibility and business pragmatism.
I give back by advising young people on their paths, sharing the guidance I wish I had at their age before making decisions that shaped me. Having not always had someone to turn to, I want to be that person for others. I genuinely love meeting people, young and old, hearing their stories and learning how they see the world. Every conversation opens a perspective I wouldn't have found on my own. When I'm off the clock, you'll find me on a trail or in the kitchen. I lead through people, reset through music, and find new ideas somewhere between a good hike and a great meal.

From biomedical devices to complex operational systems — I approach engineering as a discipline of careful thinking, rigorous testing, and creative problem-solving.
As Director of Business Development at SUTD MarketWatch, I translate ideas into partnerships. I've explored fintech, consulting, and market strategy through real-world engagements.
Design for me is not decoration — it's how I frame problems. From OJT manuals to jig ideation, I care about clarity, usability, and the human experience of every output.
